Meet The Team
Jason grew up in Statesville, NC and graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill. He worked as an apprentice to a master furniture maker before he attended Inside Passage School of Craftsmen. His love of woodworking, building community and a family of his own initially led him to work for Quis Machinery. In 2017, he became the owner. Jason is a forward thinker and transparent communicator who seeks to achieve his personal and professional goals by helping others achieve theirs. Jason is very involved within the industry as a WIA Board Director, and in 2018, he was named one of Woodworking Network's top 40 under 40. His background in furniture-making, passion for technology, and desire to build strong and lasting communities afford him a unique position to tailor solutions within the industry. He does all this in his spare time of being a loving father of three and husband to a beautiful, intelligent and compassionate wife.
Ali grew up in NJ and attended college in Italy where she studied Marketing & Mass Communications. After graduating, she realized she didn’t want to work in a traditional corporate setting and so she enrolled in an intensive furniture-making course at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship. In 2011 Ali Moved to Asheville, NC and met Jason Dingess. Together, they shared a mentor, a woodshop, and a friendship. When Jason took ownership of Quis in 2017, he asked Ali to join him in order to help with the business side of things. She has happily been with the company since.
As a 3 rd generation veteran, Robert spent his childhood in both Florida and North Carolina prior to joining the US Air Force and serving in theatre to
support Operation Desert Shield. Robert’s relationship with the woodworking industry began in 2011 working as a manufacturer’s representative for notable OEM’s. He quickly engaged with the WMIA (now WIA) to invest in the future of the woodworking industry, which is where he first met Jason Dingess. With his work supporting Quis Machinery as a manufacturer’s rep, Robert quickly realized a shared passion to help customers resolve existing needs and pragmatically prepare for the next season of growth. Living in Simpsonville, Robert joined Quis Machinery in May 2024 to cultivate the South Carolina market while cheering on the Clemson Tigers with his beautiful wife Emilie, who homeschools their almost-teenage son.
