This is an extremely versatile sliding table saw from Altendorf that is designed for repeated use in demanding situations where high-performance cutting jobs need to be carried out reliably every day. These Altendorf saws come with a choice of different control units that are designed to help CNC manufacturers and others to achieve extremely precise results. In addition, the adjustment features of this panel saw model means that it can be configured in numerous ways to suit plenty of different applications.

When you purchase an Altendorf F45, your sliding table saw will be supplied with a choice of three different swivel-mounted control units. These are the ProDrive, the EvoDrive, and the ElmoDrive, each providing convenient saw blade height adjustment control, VARIO speed adjustments, and a USB interface for obtaining data as standard. Another standard feature of all three of these control units is that the angle of the cutting blade can also be adjusted in one direction. Two-way blade angle adjustment is an optional control feature that you can choose, too, if that is important to you.

Extended cutting height options are quite possible, too, with the freedom to set this anywhere from 150 mm to 204 mm from the table. There again, you might want to be aware that each machine can be supplied with two or three-axis scoring units, which will run at anything up to 8,200 RPMs. There are even LED illumination options you can choose which help to make any potentially hazardous area around the scorer of each machine safer to operate. As well as the cutting area itself, the Altendorf F45 comes with numerous different table options for ease of use. For example, table extension features are available that keep larger panels balanced and supported as they are being cut.

The Altendorf WA 80 comes in two variants, the WA 80 TE and the WA 80 X. Both of these sliding table saws offer the same advantages over manual sawing and have the same width and height dimensions. The pair are closely associated in terms of price and can be used in similar settings. In fact, they also come supplied with some great features which they both share.
Although these are referred to as Altendorf basics, many of them are much more than mere entry-level features. For example, each has a digital display to show the tilt angle the blade has been set at so you do not need to constantly monitor this in a manual sense. Indeed, there is a motorized rise and fall adjustment system for the main saw blade that comes as standard – a technology that can also be used to alter the angle of the blade without the need for any manual controls.
In addition, when the crosscut fence is fixed at a right angle, there is the possibility to operate the manual adjustment system using a graduated scale of up to 3,200 mm, which is more than enough for most woodworking firms, to say the least. Lastly, the 4 kW power output of both the WA 80 Altendorf sliding table saws means that 4,000 RPMs can be generated when the workpiece makes contact with the blade, helping to ensure precise cutting every time.

The Altendorf WA 80 TE is a machine that offers a great deal of dependability, for example, by offering a rip fence cutting width of 1,000 mm, which can be adjusted with ease. An additional floor support option means that it can handle workpieces with a greater length - up to 4,300 mm - but even without this accessory, a very respectable sliding table length of 3,400 mm is possible. A RAPIDO scoring system with a generous adjustment range is one of the popular accessories for the Altendorf WA 80 TE and this can be backed up by a handy LED illumination system, too, if wanted. Furthermore, you can opt for a laser cutting line marker for this Altendorf machine, as well, another way of ensuring accuracy is maintained at all times.

The Altendorf WA 80 X: Looking for a machine that is a little different for the price you pay for it? If so, then the Altendorf WA 80 X may well be for you. It has a CNC-controlled rip fence rather than a manual one. It also offers an eye-level control panel, which is a big advantage in some furniture manufacturing plants. This machine offers operators the chance to use on/off switches on the sliding table itself. In addition, the Altendorf WA 80 X can be supplied with a pneumatic hold-down beam for its sliding table, which helps operators to ensure their workpieces make perfect contact with the fast-spinning blade more easily. A single-sided miter fence is another accessory worth mentioning plus the range of DUPLEX double-sided miter fences, some of which can be adjusted digitally. Lastly, there is a PALIN parallel cutting device that you can choose to invest in, too, an accessory that can be utilized with the machine seamlessly and fine-tuned with ease for different sorts of cutting tasks.
