Who We Are

As I am sure you are aware of the devastation that is the aftermath of Hurricane Helene in WNC. Much of the impact we don't even understand yet and probably will not for a while.

Many small woodworking shops have been completely wiped away. With this people's livelihoods.

Many of us are asking what we can do to help.

Ali is going to put together a list of small shops that will be in need of traditional woodworking machines like planers, jointers, band saws and hand tools.

As well as another list of machines and tools that people (you?) are willing to donate.

She will also reach out to logistics companies and see if they would be willing to donate some of their services.

We will also work on putting together a network of technicians that may be willing to give discounted rates to help get people get their current machines back up and running.

And, of course, we are here to help as much as we can on purchases of new equipment for all shop sizes.

This will be a larger project done over the next few months, not overnight, as most of the small shops don't currently have a shop to put the equipment yet. But we want to get them back up and running as soon as possible.

Please email AliR@Quismachinery and let her know:

- if you are able to help and how

- if you know of anyone else that might be able to help too

- if you need help and how
